With the current meta trends I feel like BA armies have an upper hand compared to a lot of the new marine books. Depending on how necrons go, my feeling is they’ll surpass space wolves as the dominate marine book (although closely contested by GKs). As such, I’ve looked at expanding my DoA marines.
As some of you may know, I’m magnetizing my BA jump troopers so that I can swap backpacks and run em on the ground. This is what I’m looking at for a competitive BA Mech list (Probably will replace my SW list for next years tourney circuit).
Librarian – Fear of the Dark, Shield of Sanguine — 100 [Joins the Honor Guard in the Rhino so I can fear out the hatch. Shield is used during their turn while fear during mine making him dual purpose]
Honor Guard – 3x Meltagun, Priest, Rhino — 195 [Basically a cheap way to get a priest and another vehicle. Triple melta doesn’t hurt either. Could put 4x meltaguns in the squad but then I’d hafta drop the speeder]
Sanguinary Priest — 50 [sits in a razorback]
Sniper Scouts – Camo Cloaks — 90 [sits @ home Obj, could reserve too. Goes to ground for a 2+ cover save]
Assault Marine Squad (5) – Meltagun, LasPlas Razorback — 165 [what’s to say, fast razorbacks with 2 guns are awesome]

Predator – Autocannon, Lascannon Sponsons — 135 [unlike the other marine books, fast preds are pretty decent. Just more reliable AT on a heavier chassis]
Hurricane Speeder — Multimelta — 60 [Cheap Multimelta. Can go on blocking duty but will probably sit behind the razorwall and zip out come MM time. Adds to armor saturation]

Thoughts?
@ 2000 I’d probably toss in a pair of blood talon Furioso’s to follow the army and act as a deterrent for deathstar units or anything trying to engage the front wall. More AV13!
